Positive Goals
Positive thinking
Powers my day,
A blessing to me
Each time I pray
A lift to my spirit
That gently seeps in
Guiding me always
As each day begins.
This gift overflowed
As I faced a challenge
My world was upset
And so out of balance.
Illness assailed me
Much by surprise
Attacking my body
My limbs and my eyes.
At first I felt lost
And could not understand
Why such a challenge
Was crippling my hands.
In real desperation
I asked God for help
I wanted not illness
I prayed for good health.
God soon assured me
He's with me always
Listening with love
Whenever I pray
Granting me courage
To face life with peace
Giving me strength
And blessed relief,
Relief from the fear
That tried to take hold
Reshaping my thoughts
To hold positive goals.
