Jesus Knocking at the door

Let Him In

I looked at the picture
of our Savior at the door.
He stood there knocking
as He had many times before.

The flowers and weeds covered
the path to this home.
They represent the things in life
we call our very own.

The things in life build up
to blind our view of Him,
so when He stands there knocking
we refuse to let Him in.

The door, I suddenly noticed
had no handle for Him to turn,
but He stands there as a gentleman
still knocking until we learn.

The handle is on the inside
up to us to open,
to ask our Heavenly Savior
to come in when we have spoken.

It’s only then He’ll enter
and wash away the weeds.
It’s only then we’ll see Him
for who He truly is.

Rev. Ch 3 Vs 20
"Listen, I stand at the door and knock,
if anyone hears my voice and opens the door,
I will come in and fellowship with him and he with Me."
