Precious Angels
An infant went to heaven
A baby boy I hardly knew
Though I was always round him
As he grew in mother's womb.
Some say he wasn't really
A brother of our own
But I have not forgotten him
Though he left so long ago.
I was just a little girl
Hardly even four
When he was called to enter
Heaven's golden door.
Since then there have been others
Who left this world too
So very unexpectedly
After growing in the wombs
Of mothers who waited
With joyous expectation
When their precious little babies
Would bring new celebration.
These cherished little angels
Who left this world of ours
Call to me from heaven
To tell you of them now.
One babe was Phillip Brian
And Andrew was another
An uncle and a nephew
Joined in heaven with each other.
I believe these precious angels
Share the mystery of God's love
And watch over us forever
With blessings from above.
