Has Cancer Touched Your Life

Or The Life Of Someone You Know?

Is there hope for cancer when chemotherapy and radiation fail? Where do we turn when the doctors are at a loss themselves? What do we know about where cancer comes from and can we do anything to help? So many families have been touched by cancer in some way that we all need to become proactive. This page is part of my contribution to cancer awareness and the search for a cure. I will add to it from time to time. May God bless and guide researchers and all caregivers everywhere.

Hope For Cancer

Another friend has cancer
we learned just days ago,
Dear God we lift her up in prayer
trusting You listen now.

She is a child of Yours dear God
who loves You faithfully.
She needs your tender loving care
and Your Divine Mercy.

Though doctors do not understand
where this cancer came from,
we know the power of Your healing
shown through Jesus Your Son.

We do not have a perfect view
of what the future holds,
so we humbly turn to You
"Please bless our friend dear Lord.

And Lord please grant us open minds
that offer hope for cancer.
Help us to be good listeners Lord,
so we might learn the answers.

And as we place our hope in You
please grant us each new day,
caring hearts to love and serve
and open hearts to pray.

Since I wrote the above poem
one of my brother-in-laws has faced
and challenge of cancer very courageously
and thank God he is now back to work.
I've also had a few more friends diagnosed
with cancer and I keep them in my prayers every day.
