Flick Hartigan
Dedicated to Flick (Gerald) Hartigan
with love & prayers.

Our Father's Field of Dreams

Your loved one is now playing
In our Father's field of dreams
Joyous to have won his race
And make the heavenly team.

And although you'll miss him
As so many of us will too
His love remains forever
In memories shared with you.

His smiling face and special grin
Reach out to bless me now
As I lift you up in prayer
And before our Father bow.

I pray dear God for comfort
On Flick's family and friends today
And peace that only you can give
In Your blessed way.

Please watch over this family
Until they too are called home
To join our dear friend Flick
In the field of heavenly souls.

Psalm 63 Vs 8
"My soul clings to You;
Your right hand upholds me."

My personal memories of Gerald go back to my childhood years - about 11 or 12 - when Gerald used to come to the Blarney Canteen in East Bay. He and our dad, Jim Gough, would often play a game of horseshoes next to the canteen while I waited on the customers. If a large order of french fries and burgers came in that I thought dad should fill, then Gerald would teach me how to throw horseshoes. He was lots of fun and very patient with me. I could hardly have imagined that many years later my husband Ivan and I would enjoy a different game - a game of tarabish with Gerald and Marguerite. Our lives have been blessed by knowing Gerald, Marguerite and family and we thank God for this blessing.
