I am a child of love
for those who stop to see.
I find joy in little things
like the hugs you give to me.

I like to go to Karate
and learn new skills like you
and when the summer comes
I like swimming in the pool.

I have a smile that radiates
and warms so many hearts
and often through my smile
a special friendship starts.

Sometimes I wear a label
‘cause that’s just how life is,
but I’d like you to understand
there’s more to how I live.

If you remove the label
then I’m sure that you will see
I’ll show you who I really am
when I am "free to be me."

Free to grow in many ways
you may have never thought,
free to teach the world
lessons needing to be taught.
