Morning Blessings

I pause to ask for blessings
on each and everyone
trusting they will flow your way
from our Father's blessed Son.

For through Him we are called
to the foot of the cross
forgiven and freed
because He covered the cost.

He has lifted up our sins
and the weaknesses of all
bathing us in mercy
comforting when we fall.

We can tell Him anything
that upsets our souls each day
and He will ask our Father
to listen when we pray.

So as I turn to Him
asking blessings for me and you
He reminds me that He loves us
and is present in all we go through.

So let us rest in peace
in our Savior's arms
certain of His lasting love
protecting us from harm.
