Welcome!
Our family roots are mainly
Irish and when I think of our father I am
reminded of his strong Irish ties, his involvement in the Irish Benovelent
Society and his love for Irish songs. The following rhyme was written
with these thoughts in mind, while also visualizing our great
grandfather Edward Gough standing on the shores of Halifax, Nova Scotia,
looking out to sea and longing to travel to his homeland again. Perhaps someday I
will be able to visit Waterford Ireland in memory of our great
grandfather.
Our attitudes towards life
are choices of our own making and when our
lives have been less than we might have liked them to be, there is no
changing the past. Today, however, is ours to help make this world a
better place in our own little way. The following pages that were created
by my friend Penny are a true source of inspiration to me. I
hope you will enjoy it too.
What a blessing is our Heavenly Father
who created us in love,
that we might fellowship with Him,
through Jesus Christ His loving Son.
God sent His Son to us as Saviour
to redeem a fallen world,
to establish Christian people
and to share God's holy word.
God's word comes through the scriptures
where His messages are found,
that we might learn to praise God
on our journey heaven bound.
May God's Spirit be upon us
and may Thy kingdom come,
as we share in Your great love
may Your holy will be done.

Matthew Ch. 6: Vs. 9 (Good News Bible)
"Pray then in this way:
Our Father in heaven:
May Your holy name be honored;
Your kingdom come; Your will be done
on earth as it is in heaven."
