I can't believe 2006 is just about half over already. It's been a good year so far. We started the year with a visit from Liz & Art in January . We did the usual visit to Steveston, saw some old sights and new ones. Then it was into working mode for the next three months. H&R Block. Actually I am still working with Coles, so I was juggling the 2 jobs for that time period. Bob had a great season and was quite pleased with the end results. April brought a new addition, as Sheri, Dale and Sydney welcomed Abigail. In May we had a lovely get-together at a friends place and a welcome reunion with Tanya, who is now living in Steveston. Trish and crew have moved out of Amsterdam into a townhouse in Mijdrecht. The extra room and yard will be a welcome retreat come Aug when they welcome their new addition. On a sad note, Traci & Rob buried Bess, in the backyard after her unexpected passing, Mar 11th. She was 9 yrs old.
Here is Chris with the prestigious 'Golden Harvest Award'. This is an Agriculture Canada award for outstanding achievement. He was part of a team that worked on a project that received the recognition. Congratulations Chris.
Happy Birthday Chris Kyle working on his #1 hit Matt & Dan

In June Bob had a stroke which delayed our travels a bit. Chris flew out and drove east with us just to be on the safe side. Bob did all his follow-up tests and recovery management in Ottawa with very good results and no apparent side effects. He was given a clean bill of health and arrived in Holland following Jason's arrival. In Jul Traci, Rob & kids headed to Cape Breton for Rob's brother, Ron & Monica's wedding and a visit with all the family there. We managed to have a few family gatherings, including Chris, Julie & Hope before Traci went away. I headed to Holland just before Jason's birth and had a lovely visit with everyone. Matthew, Daniel and I did a lot of exploring of Mijdrecht (the town they are now living in), bike riding (I can now manage the baxfiet), walks into town (and other towns) and other fun things. The boys accompanied me even when they didn't want to! I finally made it to Paris. We stayed at Davy Crocket's cabins, went to Disney Paris & Disney Studios. Matthew convinced me to to go on the 'Aerosmith Rockin Roller Coaster Ride', an experience I soon won't forget. We also took a bus tour into Paris, which included a cruise on the Seine (we ate our lunch along the riverside), a visit to Notre Dame and the Eiffel Tower (a fascinating structure and fabulous view).

Everyone was thrilled to welcome Jason Christopher Paul on Aug 4th @ 3:14 pm weighing 3480 gr. He is growing fast and makes a nice addition to the Comeau clan.
We had a week in Ottawa after returning from overseas, then it was pack up and head home. I wasn't much of a travel companion on the way back. After arriving in Barrhead and still feeling crummy, I found out I had a case of pneumonia. Liz & Art returned with us to Chilliwack, where I continued to recuperate. We still managed trips in to Stanley Park, the Maritime Museum to view the submarine that James Delgado created for undersea exploration & Fort Langley.
Bob has successfully completed his annual H&R Block course and I am back working at Coles. Life is back on track and everyone is doing well.
We had record breaking rainfall throughout November, followed by record breaking snowfall and low temperatures. Things are returning to normal. I do believe they are calling for rain, once again.
