Personal Background

A resident of East Bay for over 28 years, Ivan has been serving people for most of his life. Besides serving his family and friends on a daliy basis, he has served others in the following capacities:

  • as a hockey and ball coach for over 33 years
  • as a leader with cubs and scouts
  • as an active volunteer fireman
  • through leadership in church activities and organizations
  • as a fund-raiser for charities and various community projects
  • as a committee representative at Sysco
  • as an active and trusted Municipal Councillor with the C B Co Council and the Cape Breton Regional Municipality serving people for a total of thirteen years.

    Events Calendar

    Sydney Forks Recreation Centre - Card Game, Wednesday nights 8 p.m. - Dances last Saturday of each month, music by Stephanie and Lloyd.

    Big Pond Volunteer Fire Hall, Dist. 14 - Tarabish Games, Tuesday nights at 8 p.m.


    East Bay Volunteer Fire Hall, Dist 14 - Tarabish Games, Thursday nights at 8 p.m.

    Howie Center Volunteer Fire Hall, Dist 14 - Bingo, Tuesday evenings - door opens at 6:30 p.m. - game begins at 7:30 p.m.
